![]() ![]() But that doesn't matter, the idea was to give you an idea how GPUs compare and how they should compare well into the future as well. My brief look into Ethereum mining performance was interesting, but I have to say this whole mining craze just doesn't get me excited. The once mighty RX 580 sees a massive 35% reduction in performance which is awful news for those that invested in the RX 400 or 500 series for the long haul. As you can see the R9 390 series performance remains much the same while all GeForce 10 cards remain exactly the same, with the exception of the 3GB 1060 which runs out of memory. Here is a look at how the hash rates compare between epoch 140 and 190. The older R9 390 series remains strong however and still isn't much slower than the Titan X and 1080 Ti. The GTX 1060 3GB, for example, no longer has sufficient memory to mine Ethereum.Īnd finally epoch 190 way off in the future and here we see that the GeForce 10 series still retains its original performance while the RX 500 and RX 400 series falls away massively. Moving to epoch 180 will see the death of 3GB graphics cards. Now at epoch 170 the GTX 1060 is a good bit faster than the RX 580, while the R9 Nano, Fury, and Fury X all provide much the same performance. The GTX 1060 is not slightly faster than the RX 580. Meanwhile the R9 390 series barely sees a change while the GeForce 10 series sees no change at all.Īt epoch 160 the RX 500 and 400 series continues to fall away and now we are seeing a pretty big decline for the Fury series as well. The same kind of decline can be seen for all RX 400 and 500 series GPUs. The GTX 1080 tanks though and surprisingly the GTX 1070 is faster here, apparently this is down to an issue GDDR5X has when it comes to mining, despite offering more memory bandwidth it's actually slower for mining, go figure.Īs we move to epoch 150 the RX 580 can be seen falling behind the GTX 1080 as the hash rate decreases by 9%. ![]() They aren't much slower than the Titan XP and 1080 Ti. In fact, the RX 470 and 570 are offering a similar level of performance, as are the older R9 380 series. Here the RX 580 still looks good in relation to the GTX 1060 series. So I've skipped epoch 130 and started testing at 140. So if you're looking at snapping up a few GPUs to mine Ethereum you're probably not that interested in performance right at this very moment. As of writing, it isn't clear if this is simply a driver issue or a weakness of the Polaris 10 architecture. So this may be bad news for those that snapped up Radeon RX 470/480 and Radeon RX 570/580 graphics cards. Something miners started to notice was as the DAG increased in size AMD Radeon 400/500 series cards took a performance hit, whereas the GeForce 10 series and older AMD Radeon 200/300 series cards didn't. For example, at the start of the month Ethereum was at DAG epoch #126 and now we're already over #130 and next month we should hit #140, but don't hold me to that. A new DAG is generated for each epoch around every 30,000 blocks and right now it is estimated that this will happen every 4 days or so. As the DAG file size increases, so too does the difficulty. I felt it important to test various DAG file sizes to show future performance as well. Chances are the other clients can do this as well, I just didn't work out how. Second, I worked out a way to benchmark using different DAG (directed acyclic graph) file sizes. Number one was it worked really well with the current generation AMD and Nvidia GPUs. ![]() Parity is another popular client, but instead I decided to use Claymore's Dual Ethereum miner version 9.6 for a few reasons. Initially I started testing with the go-ethereum client but started to find mixed results with certain GPUs, I wasn't sure why that was and couldn't solve a few issues, so I scrapped the results and moved on. We are often asked what the best GPUs to mine with are, and since we didn't have an exact answer we decided to find out.įirst, I should note that performance can vary significantly depending on the display driver used, the software client used, and the configuration of the graphics card, so please take this as a rough performance guide. Cryptocurrency mining is big news at the moment and it seems just about everyone wants in on the action. Today we're going to take a quick look at how current generation GPUs, along with a few older ones, perform when put to the task of Ethereum mining. ![]() The pharmacists also registered information on the situation underlying the alert generation and its management (retrieval of additional information and performed actions). These included data of the patient (date of birth, sex) and of the alert itself: drugs involved, type of prescriber (general practitioner, specialist, or other), handwritten or electronic prescription, first dispensing or refill. During four allocated timeslots of 2 h each, spread over the week, the pharmacists analyzed the first six DM alerts that occurred during the dispensing process.įor each alert, details were registered on a structured, pretested form (online Supplementary Appendix 1). Each pharmacist was assigned to register a total of 24 DM alerts in daily practice. METHODS Data collectionĭM alerts were collected by community pharmacists who were participating in a postmaster training program between March 2013 and March 2014. Moreover, we aimed to identify characteristics of DM alerts that lead to interventions by pharmacists. Our objective was to investigate the nature of DM alerts and their management by community pharmacists. In community pharmacies there might be even more alerts on duplicate medication than in hospitals, because there is increased likeliness that outpatients receive prescriptions from different prescribers, because community pharmacists are not always informed about changes in therapy, and because of the logistic process-for example, early refill of prescriptions because of holidays. 11 Research on DM alerts in community pharmacy is lacking. 12, 16 In a Dutch hospital setting, 80% of DM alerts were overridden, 1 and only 4.1% of the DM alerts were rated as clinically relevant. Studies in several settings have estimated the proportion of relevant DM alerts from a few percent 15 to up to 70%. ![]() 11, 12ĭM alerts are intended to detect inappropriate duplication of therapeutic groups or active ingredients (e.g., the unintentional combination of two different NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), or the concurrent use of a branded drug and a generic version containing the same active ingredient). 7 Yet, duplicate medication (DM) alerts contribute substantially to the total number of alerts, so their specificity is of similar relevance as that of drug–drug interaction alerts. ![]() 2, 4, 8–10 Little is known about most other types of drug therapy alerts. 1–3, 5, 7 Drug–drug interaction alerts have been investigated extensively in this respect. 1–6 When too many alerts are not followed by a clinical intervention and are overridden (apart from the question whether this is appropriate), this contributes to “alert fatigue.” A potential consequence is that relevant drug therapy alerts may be overridden mistakenly. In the majority of cases, however, the alert is judged irrelevant for a particular patient. In some cases these alerts lead to clinical interventions. As the current DM alerts are diverse and nonspecific in detecting situations where external action is considered relevant, other ways of alerting should therefore be considered.Ĭlinical decision support systems, duplicate medication, medication errors, medical order entry systems, community pharmacy services BACKGROUND AND SIGNIFICANCEĬlinical decision support systems (CDSS) generate a continuous flow of drug therapy alerts. 001).ĭiscussion and Conclusion: In community pharmacy, prescription modifications based on DM alerts are rare, but DM alerts lead with some regularity to other actions-for example, patient instruction and update of the electronic patient record. Alerts concerning first dispensing were more likely to be followed by an external action than alerts concerning refills (40% vs 14%, P <. In 32% of the alerts the pharmacists decided that one or more actions were needed: the electronic patient record was updated in 15% of the alerts and in 19% of the alerts the pharmacists performed an external action-for example, informing the patient or modifying the prescription (including 5 therapeutic prescription modifications and 22 logistic prescription modifications). In 17% of the alerts, there was a risk for unintentional concurrent use. ![]() In 32% of the alerts, the DM alert was generated for an intentional combination. In half of the 1272 registered alerts, the pharmacists judged that there was no risk for concurrent use of both prescriptions. Results: On average, the clinical decision support systems generated 20.4 DM alerts per 100 dispensed drugs. Each pharmacist registered the nature and management of 24 DM alerts on a structured form. Methods: Observational study in 53 community pharmacies. Objective: To investigate the nature of duplicate medication (DM) alerts, their management by community pharmacists, and potential characteristics of DM alerts that lead to interventions by pharmacists. ![]() Switch to the tab or window where you opened the Tableau Cloud SAML configuration settings. ![]() Right-click Identity Provider Metadata and click Save link as to download the metadata XML file.Ĭlick View Setup Instructions and complete the steps to import the IdP metadata, provide the IdP entity ID and SSO service URL, and match email and display name attributes. Ingest screen with options (click for larger view) Not only are you basically limited to under 10,000 images this way (the file name only has room for 4 digits), but what if you shoot with multiple cameras at the same time? Then things really start to get hairy… As I like to sort and view my images in the order they were taken in, the default name (e.g., DSC_0012) as used in-camera is not suitable. For instance, making use of the powerful code replacements and variable feature, I am able to ingest my images to specified locations, based on e.g., the date the shot was taken at with the naming convention I want. Well, Photo Mechanic makes doing all this really easy and very flexible. For backup purposes it would be great if the software has the ability to copy the images to two locations at the same time. Especially when the program offers you a powerful engine where it automatically adds basic meta data (e.g., copyright information) and places the files at the right location on your hard drive, renaming them to suit your needs on the fly as well. ![]() Of course you can do this manually, but it much easier to have a program streamline this for you. Image IngestionThe first step in the digital workflow is getting your images transferred from the memory card of your camera to your computer. Also, because this review is based on a beta version of PM5.0, features and implementation details may change in the final product (rest assured, however, no functionality will be removed from the final release of PM 5.0, only enhanced/added!) I will, however, try to cover the, in my opinion, more important aspects. Note: this review does not try to cover each and every detail of the program. I will discuss the various features of the program following the basic steps in the digital workflow, below. Code replacements (e.g., short abbreviations of commonly used terms like player's names) and the use of “variables” make Photo Mechanic a very flexible and powerful tool for Photographers and others participating in the digital workflow process. IPTC and Exif meta data are fully supported and can be applied quickly and easily either on individual images or in batch. It has an extremely fast (perhaps even the fastest on the market?) image browser with very nicely integrated features to support and/or automate your digitial workflow. What is Photo Mechanic? Photo Mechanic (PM for short) is a standalone application supporting all steps in the digital workflow. As a member of a select group of private beta testers, I have already been able to work with the new software for a while now and in fact contributed to some of the new/improved features. ![]() My search for a viable solution brought me to Photo Mechanic, an application developed by Camera Bits, and which I have been using happily for many years now.Ĭamera Bits just released a public beta for its oncoming version 5.0 of the software and this version will be the basis for this review. Although I have tried out many of the more common solution, I found none of them suited my particular workflow very well. Nikon shooters may be familiar with a combination of Nikon Transfer and Nikon View (both free programs). Common options include Adobe Bridge (included with Adobe Photoshop), Adobe Lightroom, and Phase One's Media Pro. Many solutions exist to cover one or more of the digital workflow tasks. From loading the images onto your computer, adding image information (meta date), editing, and exporting them to e.g., your website. Even when you only shoot a limited number of images a year, there will be a time when you need some sort of tool to help you manage your images and streamline the whole digital workflow process. What cardiac activity means - and doesn't mean - early in pregnancy Since then, over a dozen states have passed similar laws, but Texas' is the first to go into effect. According to the Guttmacher Institute, which tracks reproductive health policy, the first such law was passed in North Dakota in 2013, but it was struck down in the courts. The term "fetal heartbeat" has been used in laws restricting access to abortion for years. That sound "usually can't be heard with our Doppler machines until about 10 weeks." Overall first reaction for the Zoom Freak 2 is a 6/10 and a disappointing follow up to a successful debut shoe obviously if someone wants to gift me these shoes, I will not say no. ![]() The reigning MVP became Nike Basketball’s first. For the rest of us that will wear it primarily for fashion, it’s going to be a bit tougher finding an outfit that can highlight the shoe in spite of the leather. Nike has officially revealed Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo’s second signature sneaker, the Zoom Freak 2. ![]() The Freak 2s look like another solid basketball shoe to wear for pickup games, with a higher ankle cut and likely still being lightweight. After the incredible success of his first signature shoe, a rumored design for Giannis Antetokounmpo ‘s Zoom Freak 2 has leaked online. Weirdly enough, this shoe might benefit with the reveal of versions with more subtle colors and patterns unlike with the Freak 1s, when the black and white shoes were underwhelming but the colorways made them a must buy. Overall, the Zoom Freak 2s do not appear to look better than the 1s. The biggest issue is the black leather which has his number 34 that is a dreadful look and if you removed that, this shoe looks spectacular. After looking at it more and more, I don’t mind the shoe, but the Freak 1s are still vastly superior. The Nike swoosh is very large, but unlike the Zoom Freak 1s, which was on the heel, this one is right on the center of the outside foot. Now let’s talk about the shoe while drawing inspiration from Kobe’s shoe line, my first reaction is.this isn’t a great look. Woodyard also mentioned that Giannis will wear these shoes in Orlando* ( *writer’s note: There is no reason for the NBA to try this bubble in Orlando, which has been a petri dish for COVID-19 and seen fellow sports league like the MLS fail at containing spread, ultimately resulting in a team completely withdrawing.) but there is this rumor the shoe’s release will be August 1 and 7. It also lists his parents, Charles and Veronica. Once again, it draws inspiration from Giannis and all his brothers (Kostas, Francis, Alex, Thanasis) with all their names listed on the bottom. Also, it features a reinforced forefoot outrigger on the lateral side near the pinky toe to fortify a high-wear area of the shoe and provide more ground contact. This move, according to Nike, will keep him grounded as he drives off of his forefoot and safe as he lands in an abnormal way on his heel. To ensure Antetokounmpo’s on-court needs were met, Nike built the shoe with a decoupled midsole, which is separated into two sections and also features a supportive shank. “What’s different about his movements is that he’s causing so much pressure when he hits those steps, like the Eurostep, that we need to help propel him and contain him further near the toe.” “What Giannis does in space is directly connected to his body proportions,” Nike Basketball Senior Creative Director Ross Klein said in a statement. The pairing of these abilities is what makes the baller’s Eurostep move almost unbeatable. Kansas City Chiefs Owner’s Daughter Gracie Hunt Gets Sporty in Neon Shorts & Nike Pegasus Trail 3 Sneakers |
